One of the largest children's theatre companies on the West Coast, the Northwest Children's Theater offers five thought-provoking, family-oriented shows each season. Oregon Symphony
A mainstay of the Portland music scene for over 100 years, the Oregon Symphony presents an inspired mix of classical, Pops, youth, and community concerts each season. The symphony was formally organized in 1896, though its roots go even further back. Today the symphony is one of the largest in the nation, and performs before hundreds of thousands each year. The small town of Ashland in Southern Oregon has hosted this famous festival (which spans from late winter until early fall) for more than half a century. Presenting both classical and contemporary productions, the festival is one of the most popular arts events in the Northwest.
